I have been playing Ingress since October 2014. All other “gamey” apps have since been deleted from the phone, which feels very good.
According to the in-game measuring “distance walked”, I have walked 692 kilometers since I started. Quite a few of those kilometres are probably registered from travelling by bus or car I guess, even though there is some speed limit over which travelled distance is not accounted for.
Here are the level requirements for levels 9 to 16:

Regarding the medals needed, level 14 and 15 are probably not too hard to reach. I have my doubts about ever reaching L16 though (at least if I don’t get the Guardian badge to platinum).
